Candle a few, you should be able to tell if they are about to hatch.

only a dozen cannakid Wofull hatching I could not help myself had to have a look at a few eggs because its now day 22 and counting the chicks inside the eggs were all dead in all kinds of state from young to just piping but all dead ? I have no idea why this should have happened the temperature was set at 37.6 degrees and the humidity was 55 to start and went up the last three days to 60/70 in my book that's just fine the same as I have mostly done hatching any ideas would be great before I get the duck eggs in posted on Monday express mail $ 46.00 now Wednesday and still not with me. I think I will have to drop the Federal Government a line asking for more funds for the postal service so they can upgrade there camels ?? Trev

I have no Idea on duck eggs but with my experience the humidity is a little high for chook eggs it sounds more like a nutrition in the breeding stock problem .

I did what the new book told me to except the last couple of days where they wanted the humidity to be 85 % i though that was to high so i kept it down again this is the trouble of not sighting the breeders the ducks should be find i had them a while ago and turkeys it will be good to get back into them Trev

The last few batches, I have not raised the humidity and the chicks hatched fine. I have the done the same with ducks without any issue. It's hard to tell what the cause is. Did the eggs under the broodies hatch?

No i had two SG Dorking and a Silky all with eggs under them from the same batch none hatched out I broke the rest today nothing in them so i ended up with three chicks all over the place and all sizes and the rest were empty this bloke has a problem better news the duck eggs came today and boy were they wrapped up well none broken and large fingers crossed this time i will leave the humidity alone roll on 28 days from now Trev

I had a quick check of my eggs in the bator at the moment my RIR look all empty so do the silver laced Wyandotte and campiness but the ancona are all good and most of the australorps are good just can't see a thing in my marans eggs I'll just leave them there. I will do a proper check when my RIR eggs turn up from NSW. then shift them into my bigger incubator.

It may be faster to have the parcel posted to a Perth address and then pick it up from Perth.
