i need some advice, i've been breeding my pekin drake with my muscovy girls for meat ducks, my problem is low hatching rates.the chicks are fully devoloped but most are unable to break out of the shell.i live in shark bay where all the shell grit comes from.could it be that they are getting too much grit and is there something to add to their diet too reverse this, cheers, milly.

try adding vitamins & minerals to the drinking water , even a barroca tablet helps not sure with ducks but chooks need a higher protien feed for hatching compaired with just laying for eating eggs.
