the midland junction poultry society celeberated its 100th anniversary this weekend, with a two day show. each competitor received a beautiful medallion, and special prize cards were made for the awards. the view from above, three of my birds are in this picture hehe (2 white silkies and an ancona cockerel) the trophy table with the hardworking card writers in the background, they wrote TWO cards for each pen, an identifier and a special prize card petal the white silkie pullet snowdrop the white silkie pullet silkie cockerel, unfortunately as he has gotten older he has more RED in his comb ancona cockerel fig boy (due to his recent living habits, of which he is now hopefully being broken) its hard work to be on show, especially when you didn't place, henrietta needs a richer colour bianca found showing to be a leisurely pursuit lol alfonse was on alert as per usual the pair of anconas i entered, she is ok, he needs work black pekin pair the winning pair of andulusisans some stick chooks my white pekin hen, she thougth i was coming to let her out cuckoo pekin cockerel nancy mckinnon's beautiful mille fleur pekin hen craig enright's beautiful blue pekin pullet with her first egg in teh background bird of show, a muscovy duck owned by J Kennington this poor pekin cockerel caught the spirit towards unpenning time, everyone was tired, especially after the beautiful dinner we had last night at the royal perth yacht club.

Hi Jacquie I am glad you had a great time. I must say I was shattered when i finally got home and I made a few new chook friends the human kind, which is always nice to share my chook madness with others. Next is the Royal and at least the weather may be warmer which would make drying the chooks much easier. Cheers Linda
