Hi,
I have seven 3/4 Isa Brown chicks and all but one are nearly fully feathered. They were all hatched at the same time and all have the same sire but could come from a dozen or so different hens. The one chick that isn't feathering up has wing and tail feathers but it's body is still covered in chick fluff. It is also half the size of the other six. Does anyone know why this has happened? Is it a case of just wait and it'll feather up or is there a health problem? Cheers, Sarah

It could be either a defect in that one or it's at the bottom of the pecking order and not getting enough feed, occasionaly you just get 1 that is genetically chalanged
