So after my recent loss i need to repopulate the gang.....
I have one very broody hen so thought i might try and hatch some of my own this time for a change, would be a great experience for the kids at school!
Has anyone got any decent ones laying around by any chance, or is it too late in the season for fertile eggs? (i wouldn't know....)

not too late for fertile eggs, but the heat makes it difficult. try and source some close to where you are

Sent you a PM . IM happy to give you some eggs ...no garentees this time of year as roosters can go in out in protest and eggs can cook before you get to collect them in 41 degrees . I have some under chooks and gave some to another forum member ...not bad hatch rates but not the best

Yes I have got 20 takers from 36 but the eggs got hot from the 5 hour drive home. still good considering the heat.

when travelling with eggs wrap them in bubble wrap individually pop them back into the carton wrap that in the same and stick them under you seat cold air drops they should stay nice and cool or pop them into an esky without the ice block just cool the inside first this is the way I do it and they seems to be fine hope this helps Trev

The airconditioner in my ute was low on gas got it fixed now. That trip was a fun trip home as I just missed a storm that went thru south of Moora and there was trees down and 2 inches of hail on the road ,then went thru another near Coorrow (no hail in that one)
