Congrats on getting your new incubator, I cant see anything wrong in keeping it in the spare room, mine are in the loungeroom, one looks like a bar fridge and the other looks like a wine cooler, fits the decore realy well. the daughter's boyfriend had been staying with us for nearly 2 months before he realised it wasnt a wine cooler, but alas he will not eat our eggs anymore now that he knows that chickies hatch from them, real city slicker, but seriously there are only a few factors that you need to keep an eye on and they are that the temp and humidity is correct and the ambiant heat is not too hot or too cold or fluctuating. and of course the eggs are fertile. let the incubator run for a few hours before you put the eggs in to get to the correct temp and follow the instructions that came with the bator and you should be fine. Good luck and looking forward to seeing all the new chickadee photos. Maybe the "G" on your eggs stands for girls and not the breed

Congratulations, I got my first one today as well. Already set some eggs in it once temp was stabilised.

I feel really happy for you both. I was so excited getting mine. Then hatch day came and only had a couple of chips in three shells. The next day I was too sick to enjoy the hatch. Hopefully all will be fine for the hatch this week
