I know i dont speak for the majority of this forum here but for the last few days (especially last night) we have had some pretty big storms obviously bringing with it copious amounts of water. I went to check on the chickens this afternoon after having a few downpours during the day and they were soaking wet! They were literally ringing wet! Do chickens like the rain? Wont they catch something getting all cold and soaking wet?! They have access to dry undercover but obviously chose not to use it? Id hate for my girls to get sick from something as stupid as rain! Thanks, hope your all enjoying the rain whilst its here Ryan

Hi Ryan, im no expert with chooks but i do observe ours lots. All day today they were out scratching when it was really heavy they would shelter but anything other than that they were out. Their food is inside so was their scraps and grain but they wanted the rain.

Yep, mine all like to hang out in the rain unless it's absolutley pelting down They look a little like drowned rats at the end of the day but seem none the worse for wear - in fact egg production has gone up! ;D
