We are excited! ;D ;D Our nine year old hen went clucky for the first time in her long life. We put two eggs under her (as she is only small) and she has hatched one chicken. The other egg was infertile. She has always been the nurse maid to other hen mummies and now she has her own chicky, she is doing the mummy job perfectly. I will post photos once she is out and about.

I took this thread out and showed it to one of my old hens who's not been clucky for a while. She gave a deep sigh and went and sat in the nest with a resigned look on her face, but I know her, she just teasing me! Mike
