I noticed today that my buff sussex and barnevelder's skin on the wattles is really pale compared to what they used to look like. They all are perfectly happy, eating (they get the super poultry mix with some extra wheat and diatomaceous earth now, lucky chooks ) grooming themselves and active. Both are laying, too. What could be the reason?

it could be worms, have you tried worming them? or mites or other blood sucking creatures. mites live off the chook and in the roosts and perches, they can be hard to get rid of. you need to treat their environment not the birds.
