Hi Everyone Isnt it great that we are starting to get eggs again. Can anyone tell me if this sounds like worms, I noticed the other day that one of my girls had these white slightly moving oval shaped things in her poo, they were the size of a grain of sand. I have wormed the chooks 5 weeks ago and again 2 weeks ago. I used worm enda. What should I do . Thanks linda

HI Linda If there moving its a safe bet they have worms, may be the stuff your using dose not cover all types of worm infestation. If there is any medication that will. I only use Garlic powder seems to keep them free at this stage anyway. Trev

Hi Linda,
Where did you get the moxidectin plus from? Is this the type that is added to their drinking water?
Are you the Linda who gave me a barnie rooster named Bazza earlier this year?

Hi Chooky I did give up a barnie rooster. I hope he is well and happy. The hen I kept (his siser) has been healthy and has a nice nature. I got my moxidecton plus from a vet in wattlegrove veterinary hospital, 94536655. Dr. Tim Oldfield is the chicken vet if you need him down the track. It cost me $30.00 over the counter.Well worth the money as it does lice , leg mites and all worms and keeps the stickfast fleas off as well. Cheers Linda

Linda29,
Bazza is doing well. He now lives in a big pen (about 150sqm) with 15 other chooks of various breeds. He is rooster no 2, second to a big fat orpington rooster. He has turned out to be a beautiful bird.
Thanks on the info re the moxidectin plus. I will get some for my birds for their next worming.
Chooky
