Hi I live in Esperance on 1 3/4acre and my passion for chooks only recently began after going to a few local poultry exhibitions... and now I'm in full swing ;D (my poor husband) It started off with "one of this and one of that" and then I decided that after watching them so often in my yard that I wanted to become a little bit more serious. So, after a trip to Perth and the purchase of a few more chooks and chickens, I entered the Esperance Poultry Show and came home with 5 firsts, 4 champions and a 2nd...Beginners luck I sold some of my "bits of this and bits of that" so i could concentrate more on a few breeds.. Well, you can imagine what happened after that!! Next came the incubator... Im loving every moment - minus the purchased dud incubator - and enjoy the time sitting on the verandah watching the first lot of babies growing and colour changing and the antics...
