well that's the last of the Almonds, I love the things picked and sorted. I have just done the last 5 pots of plum jam. the Nectarines are in the freezer awaiting a pudding, along with the peaches. All I have left are pears , apples ,and a few late grapes. Then we can start all over again for next year. That's the way to go, and I should get a few extra cheeries next year with luck . How are you all going Trev

Hi Quambie We ended up with only 4 almonds Bloody parrots) We have bought some nets and are planning on covering them next year. This will be interesting as I am only 5ft tall. Thank heavens for the ladder. Enjoy your jam. Cheers Linda

Wow I am sorry about your Almonds Linda I am lucky on that side I had a full size tennis court and we do not play so I cut it in half and used my half for the orchard and put netting all over the top of it now we do not get any interruption at all from Birds you will find it a lot better with a net its hard to get it over the trees even for me and I am only 5' 7" but its worth it in the long run good luck with it Trev
