Hi my male duck has started moulting and he is currently fenced off in half the enclosure with his mate and 9 ducklings. When I let the chickens in to their side he sometimes chases them and especially picks on the poor rhode island red chasing her relentlessly until i save her. It seemed to start when he started moulting. He did pick on the chicks a little bit before but never chased them this bad. Could he just be grumpy because he is moultling? I'm want them to all live happily together when the chickens are full grown but its not looking good. Thanks, Kelly

I am not sure about ducks, but a couple of my chooks completely change when they are moulting ( and I don't mean they change feathers either) The complete Jeckle and Hyde routine.
