Please place your guesses here. Guesses can be made right up until the hatch date or when chicks start to hatch whichever the soonest.
Number of Eggs: 30 Due Date: 10th Oct Breed: 11 Red Transylvanian naked neck, 19 Rhode island Reds
Background of eggs set Naked Necks posted from Pembrooke Plants and Poultry NSW Rhode Island reds are my own, first time layers.
Hatch is monitored by Mandimoo
Please state what date you think they will hatch
If more than 1 person guesses the correct number of chicks hatched , then the hatch dates are considered. If the correct number and dates are not guessed, it will then go to the closest guess in the same sequence.
Good luck everybody

Well the hatch is over, I got 14 RIR hatch and no naked necks. Only two of the naked neck eggs were fertile and they both were dead in the shell .

Hi Mandy, I tried to get some TNNs last year as well only 1 large hatched from a dozen, but it wasnt TNN, did have better luck with the bantams NN, I think from memory 3 hatched but did not thrive and didnt make it past about 2 weeks old. I am still looking for an alterantive contact for this breed and if I find one will let you know.
