Our pekin ducks have been laying for quite awhile. We only have 2 and some days get 2 eggs. Today we collect the eggs and find this small 23 gram egg. They usually lay a decent sized one anywhere from 75 to 90 grams. Is something wrong or is it normal to pop out a small one occassionally? Shea

Hi Shea, yes I got a couple of those when my girls hadnt been laying long. They are about the size of a silkie egg. I knew my silkies hadnt gone into the duck pen to lay so it mustve been the ducks. I ahve heard of the teeny eggs before. Mine dont lay them now and out of the 3 ducks, I only got 2 of these. Cheers, Wendy
