Well, I sold one of my Pekin drakes today Im a bit sad but he has gone to a really good home in Bunbury area.Soon he will be moving to Wagin. We'll miss him. The lady who bought him is going to post some pics of him and his girls on the Chooknet forum when she can, I cant wait He is going to be the Alpha male with 2 lovely Kakhi Campell x Pekin girls all of his own which he totally deserves. So now we only have 4 (not so little) ducks. I havent parted with any really beloved poultry before so its a weird feeling.

Its hard to part with a favourite, but at least you know that he's gone to great home where he'll be very happy.

It is wonderful when you have to part from a pet that has wormed their way into your heart, that you know they are going to be very pampered where they have gone. I will look out for it on chooknet. Do you know the ladies id?

Thanks everyone I am trying to be strong! I know theres going to be more I have to part with over the years so I'd better get used to it. Usually when I have a pet its for life. Different to breeding thats for sure. If I had the room and the $$ I'd keep most of them One powerball..... I had a look on chooknet last night and I believe she is "farmersue" Tina.

Yes your right Brendon, I already have filled the gap with more than one. But not ducks. I now have a pair of black Pekin bantams and Im off to Betty's later to pick up my white pekin trio that she brought down from Perth for me I might keep another female duckling from the babies if I have a spare one too. Cant wait to see them

My buff orp pair were picked up on Saturday. They have gone to live in Corrigin on a farm so they will have a happy life. Must admit, I am wondering how they are getting on.
