Hi guys the final tally is 10. so I am very happy 8 are silkies and 2 are Speckled Sussex There was 1 more that had zipped the whole way round the egg but didn't make it out. I wish I had come home earlier I could have helped it out. Poor little thing did all the hard work to.
So that means the winner is Shea.....

8 Out of 12 for posted eggs is a fantastic result. Just shows that the packaging makes all the difference. Glad to hear your speckled sussex hatched too. Of course we are all waiting for updated pictures. (This comes from me who has not even taken pictures of my latest hatch, hopefully tomorrow.....lol)

Well done Carolyn! Fantastic mix. Love the piccies cant wait for more! I have 11 posted eggs in the incubator (one had a crack) and after a week it looks like all but 1 or 2 are doing their thing. They were packed carefully and obviously ferility was good. Cant wait only 2 weeks to go. They are mixed colour Pekins. I also have 3 silkie eggs in the bator due next weekend that my friend put in the fridge at work. There was 6 eggs 1 I broke before it got to the bator very soft shell. 1 stuck the the wire and when I went to turn it the egg left a bit of shell behind. 1 had a bloodring. So even after being in the fridge for the weekend I have 3 doing their thing nicely. I think her mum has a black rooster with some white and black and grey hens. I havent seen them but I hope to get another hen or 2 from the 3 eggs.
