Hi all, well I remembered to take a pic when I tucked the boys in last night ;D Here they are in their portacot! Hey Ive only got 6 to put away in there now because Alans brother took his 2 FINALLY the other day!! I suspect my baby Wyandottes wont be too long out of their night accomodation either because one has started that funny noise in the morning they make when theyre learning to crow. Sounds a like a big sneeze!! ;D

That's a great idea Wendy, I think I have a portacot laying around at home If it can last through my 4 kids, then I'm sure that i can retire it for my chooks now:) I've been looking for something to put the smaller ones in, I wouldn't have thought of using a porta cot though. What a great idea:)

Yes its great! I used for my 2 littlies (kids) and then the last ducklings. Now its a night bed for my Pekin roos. Im off on Thursday to find another one somewhere for this hatch of ducklings. I line it under newspaper with some plastic (like an old shower curtain) so it doesnt get rotten. I also use an old wooden cot as a temporary pen for young ones. It has the legs cut off and wire around it. I'll post a pic of it when I get to it Playpens are good too but I havent got one.

Well, technically theyre not all mine I am givng the bluered and the silver splash to Brendan when I come up to Perth. See that blue fella? He looks alot like yours. Im still deciding on whether or not to keep him. If I find him a good home I will give him away. If not, well I'll keep him. He's a nice looking roo.

Looks to have a better covering of feathers than mine.. Also he looks to be a very clean blue so if you can I would keep him as he will be good daddy
