Hi there, here are a couple of piccies of my new girls. They are POL. I got one for nothing because she was injured by a rooster last week. She's limping. I have her separate from the others. Couldnt leave her behind, hopefully she'll recover soon.

How exciting for you. If she is just limping will she be ok?

there great Wendy I wouldn't be too concerned about the limping, they do have quite allot of muscle tissue in there legs, so fingers crossed she has just pulled a muscle, and will be good as new in no time

Still no change, she's not getting worse, so that could be a good sign. Im not letting her hobble around, she's confined to a vege crate. I feel soooo mean, but she flounders around with one leg out in front of her using her wings to steady herself otherwise. She doesnt appear to be in pain, but on one of her leg joints it felt quite warm compared to the other. Maybe this is a sign of infection? I still have the Baytril antibiotic left from the CRD episode. Do you think I should give her some?

a warm joint is not a good sign, and could indeed be a sign of infection. i am not sure if the baytril will function for joint inflammation, it may be worth at least ringing the vet to see what they have to say, if they will do that.
baytril probably wouldn't hurt overall though.

If you have any you could apply arnica cream ,or put homeopathic arnica in her water if you know anyone with some .A little fish oil ( 1 people capsual mixed with a little olive oil )added to her feed may help if its in the muscle pain.
