3 more Pekins and 2 Araucanas so far. Quite a few more eggs pipping or zipping. Wendy, theres a white, another has fluffed up and looks silver so hopefully its a splash, and another thats also silver but with a blue bit on its back. The 2 wet ones in the bator are both dark so I'm not sure of colour yet. Will have to post some pics of the Araucanas so that the "araucana peoples" lol can give me an idea of colours. I'm pretty sure that 2 are lavender.

Oooh how exciting! Did you get those eggs from Wayne? If so you will probably get a good assortment of colours. Some of my Pekins came from him but as I wasnt here when they all hatched Im not totally sure which ones are his. I suspect the blues and splash. Possibly the cuckoos. Cant wait for piccies

The guy in Southern River? If so then yes I'm really hoping for a cuckoo but we'll see. I saw his birds and yes, your blues, splash and cuckoos would've come from him.

Yep thats him! Goody Cant wait to see what colours they are when they grow. My cuckoos only started to show that colour coming through well when they were a couple of months old.

Oh ok interesting What colour were they before the cuckoo started coming through? Grey? Finally, one of the Silkie eggs is zipping! Unfortunately only 3 were fertile, so hopefully all 3 will hatch.

Yes they were bluey grey When I got them back ffrom my friend who looked after them, they were nearly 2 months old and just showing the colouring, but not intensely like they do now. I will find the piccies in the thread and post the link here. Go chickies!

wapoultrytraders.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=newarrivals&action=display&thread=1082Heres the link. Looking at these pics, the only one which was really bright obvious cuckoo was the little roo Charlie. In the first pic, the blue hen at the very top left of the pic next to the buff and red chicks was just starting to show some cuckoo colouring. My silver roo Ghost, who has some barring, looked light blue but had no barring showing until his last moult. I think he is the silver chick at the top rhs of first photo.

4 more have hatched overnight, 1 is quite weak though. So that takes the total up to 19 so far. I'd say thats probably the end of the hatch, but I'll leave the remaining eggs in today and candle them tonight. Then bring on Friday! Thats when my gregory Silkie eggs are due
