I have 1 beautiful dark blue chickie babe and that is it. All over. 9 never developed and 2 died along the way. Very disappointing, but at least I got 1. I am giving this one to a broody hen as I don't want it to be all alone. I think Rap is the winner, but I will l check later.

Oh thats a shame Tina But at least you got one, and if it turns out anything like your other dark blues, it'll be well worth it

Well the broody did not take to the chickie, she did not hurt it but just ignored it and it was cold so I have put it in the brooder awaiting the hatching on Monday.
I am wondering if it maybe black as it has dried out more, but it has the most wonderful middle toe feathering. You wait it will be a boy which probably won't be a bad thing if it keeps the feathering. I know just the right home for it . And this 'lil chickie is worth.......$55

Definately organise a picture soon, it is a bit cold to take it out of the brooder and it is sleeping snuggled up to a teddy bear.

These eggs came from Perfect poultry in Toowoomba qld. The poor little thing is lonely, but seems to cope ok. Cheeps only a bit every now and then. It will have some friends in a few days. Ooooo just remembered gotta take them off the turner.
