The entries for the show are starting to come in now which is good, my earlier post was mainly for the auction just to say that it is not only the poultry club members that can put the birds in the auction. Have sent you a PM Carolyn

The birds for the auction are to be penned at the same time as the birds for the show which is 9am and the actual auction will start after the presentations approx 12.30 to 1pm, that way it will give prospective purchasers ample time to have a look at the birds that are on offer.

I was mostly working on the auction side today so I wasnt even able to get to the presentations, but there were a few blue cards on my guys pens when I went to take them home, It was a very very busy day, there were lots of Japanese in the show which was really great to see and several of the rarer breeds were also shown. Hopefully there will be more at the open show on the 27th June. There were LOTS of birds in the auction, several rare breeds again even a few Phoenix (have never seen one in real life before) I had a few birds in the auction and they went for $40 to $55 mark each. was really pleased with that mine were all large soft feathered breeds also met up with fluffychook, Judes and Langshan, and OH said Chookloop was there as well but I didnt get chance to talk to her. Am absolutely B###gered but had a great day, and the auctioneer was really good

There was a great turnout, I imagine Mundi poultry club would have been very happy with the results of today. I was very interested in the silkies they had on show and have been encouraged to enter some in the next one.

Glad to here you had a great day Judy. Congrats on winning. I would have been going but it didnt pan out. I was going come up and see the show, pick up my rooster from you and to buy a couple of trios of Pekins from someone, but he didnt get back to me It was looking promising for the first couple of emails Never mind. I will have to catch up with everyone in August.
