Well its not looking good guys. I've just done a proper candling of the whole batch and it looks like that power outage killed most of them. The majority of them look to have about 7 days development. d**n you Western Power! I could only see movement in 9 or 10 eggs. So we'll see what happens. Buy hey, thats better than nothing isnt it I'm sooo glad now that I've been saving the Silkie eggs so that I can do another batch, with hopefully a better outcome.

Such a shame, even though you lost many it just goes to show that it is still worth going ahead with a hatch as you still may have some survivors. Go little chickies.

Such a shame, it seems to have a varying affect of when power is lost on the the stages of developement of the embryos, out of interest I am going to start another thread and if we can document the results if we have power outages ay any stage of the incubation and what ramifications it has on the hatch results, so please guys if you can help out with any info it will be great.

Sounds like a good idea Judy Well still no chickies yet but we have made a little progress. One chick has finally pipped through the shell so maybe we'll have a chick by dinner time lol
