a real surprise package, is there a possibility that a visiting Romeo could have been, look very similar in colouring to my GLW chicks? hmmm, you never know you could have started a new colour,

yeah that's what i thought too cluck i have some at my place that look the same they belong to scrub from this forum but can they come from 2 white chooks ?? but they are beauties luv4ducks keep us posted on what they end up like they should be lovely ..hopefully a hen and a roo

Thankyou for your suggestions, I know that there has not been any other roosters in there as these mum & dad are in a pen all to themselves, and have been for about 3 months so the colour is quite a surprise, I will definately post some new photo's as they develop, fingers crossed that they are a boy & girl:) I'll keep you posted

white birds can be hiding a myriad of colours (except for blue and black) including partridge. it would appear that the right combination of genes has come together to result in the partridge chicks. they are very cute.

oh most definately although if they are the first i would not be able to part with them imagine the colour combo's you can make up later if you keep them

I think it is wait and see, but I love their uggies (foot feathering). Do you know what the background colours of the parents are or could be? That can help.

the parents are both white, and have only ever had white babies, however this is the first time they have been bred together, so it's quite interesting to see what they have in their genetics
