Hi guys, well, guess what I just discovered this morning? 1 chick about to break out and 1 egg pipping! I think its a bit early but I have read that sometimes bantam eggs can hatch a couple of days before regular eggs. I havent got the brooder box ready yet, so that what I'll be doing this morning! The bloody water had dried out so Ive just topped it up with warm water and will go down and spray them too. The first chick is only a matter of minutes before its out I think. So Im off to watch! They are a mix from her pure pen of a Gold Laced Roo and Hen,grey laced Hen,silver pencilled Hen and a spotty red Wyandotte Hen. So I dont know what I will end up with! Yes, exciting. Bye for now

well my last Bantam Wyandotte, Star, was the only one hatched from a batch of "Belgians" that I got posted! She was a stray egg. So these eggs came from her as well and I will look forward to seeeing what colours and hopefully they are mostly girls

This is all i could find on bantam eggs
Some very small bantam eggs may be a day early and really large poultry such as Cochins may be a day extra.

I have read that bantams can hatch from 18-20 days. I am wondering if I should take mine off the auto turner earlier....oh the dilemma

Hi guys I have just started a new thread in "New Arrivals" for the bubs pics added of course I was just speaking to someone about the bantam egg hatching times and they said that true bantams usually go for about 19 days.
