Hey guys n gals, how are you all? I just got back today and its soooooo good to be home. 7 weeks is a long time to be away.
Dads funeral was yesterday and it was really lovely.Yes I know it was Friday the 13th!!! And Dad would have had a good laugh about that too He was not superstitious. Well, there was over 300 people there, beyond any of our expectations thats for sure. It was really touching that so many friends and family travelled from near and far to pay their respects. He had an escort of his and my brothers new Harleys ( Dad only had it for 6 months before he got so ill), a guard of honour from the Nasho's and of course he had picked Slim Dusty for the music. It was pretty hard to leave Denmark knowing that next time I go back he wont be there to greet me.
But as I said before its fantastic to be home and cant wait to see all my friends and family. The garden is a complete shambles as it has only had the lawn mowed and been watered while I was away. Alan was down with me most of the time he only came back twice to mow and do a few other things. The kids are really happy, playing with Xmas toys and of course feeding our now HUMUNGOUS ducks!! Cant believe it!! Theyre massive and make lots of noise theyre just gorgeous. I have absolutely no idea whos who!! Never mond, theyre all safe and well, so thats the main thing, just hoping theyre girls!! Havent seen the chicks yet, Im off to my friends tomorrow for a look. Have to get their pen organised as cant put them in with the ducks! Will post pics as soon as I get to it.
My xmas tree is still up and all the other decorations piles of washing and cobwebs and dust everywhere. Just as well Ive booked leave from work till the first week in March!!
Well, I really hope everythings good with everyone. Will take a look at all the posts since Ive been gone over the next week or so. Glad to be back in poultry paradise
Cheers, Wendy
