Hatched 4 chicks a few days back. 2 of them came out really weird. They have their insides on the outside. Bled a lot and then died. They started hatching on day 19. The incubator is not too hot because it was struggling to keep temp due to the colder nights. Has anyone had this before?
Gave the remaining 2 chicks to a broody hen. She is now a very proud mum.

I went to an auction about this time last year at Gidgi. Might be the same one. I was after a large Indian Game rooster. They only had bantams for sale, so I didn't stay for the auction. There were a few large light sussex last year. You may just get lucky and find what you are after Giantrunt.

CK,
These chicks were cross breeds, so it can't be inbreeding in this case. I think I will leave it til spring before hatching some more. The indian cross chicks hatched a month ago turn out to be eating machines. I have never had chicks that love food this much. I hope this means they will grow quick and big.
