Looks like 1or2 Australorp and some of the 5 pekin bantam eggs are fertile ,don't know yet about the 3 under the hen. we found one buff Orpington girls ,she has been attacked by the fox and looks a though she has hurt her neck but when Ross went to check on her she went to attack him so we decided she has some life in her so we will see how she goes ,gave her food ,water a warm place to sleep and will see how she is tomorrow. CK how many small eggs did you give me one I have marked Australorp is small ,Don't know if I miss marked it. It is great to have such great online friends ,thanks for the egg offers I am hoping for some little chickies. They wont be freeranging for a very long time
Trev my son is an Archer he has just come back to Perth and his bow isn't far behind him . He has been in Qld where he could shoot live pests ie deer etc so his fury was up and he was seeing red .

Sorry I should have marked them it was 7 of each so 1 in with the Australorp eggs was a pekin egg I got a feeling one of the little eggs may have been a arauncana so if there is a tinted little egg it snuck in .

Um no they are in with Gorgie the blue Australorp I got from CGCB , I got the eggs in a hurry I need to put them under a fluorescent light to tell the colour , they all looked white on the veranda when I was getting them . The pekins are in with my blue fav's the egg that was with the Australorp eggs is a pekin for certain . The Australorp eggs I was not sure of fertility because the rooster was swapped only 5 days before you rang to ask for eggs but 3 of them I gathered that morning so I was hoping at least 3 were good.. I have had a couple other people hatch the green eggs and they come out looking like a small australorp .

It is great that your hen is ok. Hopefully she is well enough to give Gold finger some company soon. I hope that some eggs under your hen are fertile and you get a few babies. Between CK and I, we should be able to get you some new stock if you choose to hatch more this season. Sounds like the days are numbered for your fox
