They don't lay any eggs I think you have to wait till spring. I have a Wyandotte gone broody already that has only been laying for two months. I have to be precise with the temp for the plucking machine to work properly.

funny that one of my S.G.Dorkings has just gone broody in about the same time, very quick for a first timer i pluck by hand i like it and i get more control i will pluck 30 in no time if i have to each to there own Trev

its a strange world for the chooks this year is top of the list the laying bit has me stuffed there sure taking there time about it Trev

They are all waiting for spring this year. And fertility is bad too. MY son is trying out incubating some eggs, 18 eggs in the incubator, only 2 are developing. The rest are clear. I told him to have a good talk with the roosters.

He ,HE love it but i do agree with you the stats are shocking out of two dozen eggs i got 6 and thats was it no formed chicks in any of the others at all something has to give lets hope its a better year this year Trev

Hopefully, he'll get two chicks for his first incubation. Will get him to try again later.

He had his first successful fishing experience earlier this year and he is itching to get back as soon as it starts to warm up a bit.
