Hi Everyone I am sorry I have hardly been online this year. Life does get hectic. I have some pure honey for sale. Straight from my hives at home (luckily I live in the hills area). I have strained my honey and then put it in 1kg containers. So if you want fresh honey give me a call 0419362257. 1kg $10. Have a grate day. Thanks Linda from Maida Vale

That is so cool to produce your own honey. I have been toying with the idea of taking up a beekeeping course.

Thanks Giantrunt. I may hit you for beekeeping lessons. I have seen the new hive system called the Hive Flow. Have you seen this? Looks very simple. Though I know nothing about bees other than they produce beautiful honey and they can sting when agitated.

Ya...I saw the show...on current affair ...it looks so simple, a hell of a story... but!.... as the end of the day it's a lot of work, but enjoy the fact I produce my own honey & Grandkids love Pops Honey.... Daughters gives / sell it to her social group & have to take 10 Jars down to my Stock Feed bloke as he sells a few in his shop... but no money just a warm & fuzzie feeling... & enjoy the hole process.. anything I can do to help... just ask ..... it cost about $100 for a double hive complete for all the parts / boxes / frames/excluder & then you find / catch the bees to put in it. That's how I stated...built made the hives...then over time collected the bees.... any swarms around here the locals call me & I go collect them.... BUT NOW give to M8... as all I want is five hives....So he keeps adding to his & mine stays the same... Lesson#1 complete...:-) :-) :-)

Our intention is to eventually replace sugar with honey and share any access with family and friends. Love the idea of being able to produce our own food.
