My partner & I just spent the weekend in Albany, on our return we found that two of our egg's in the incubator had hatched, & you cant imagine how chuffed we are, they are silky bantam's that a neighbour kindly donated a dozen egg's so that we could learn how to use the incubator, ironically everything should have been against us as the temp & humidity level's were all over the place, however we are very excited at having these 2 little fluffy thing's happily wandering around the brooder............ ;D

Over the past couple of day's we have found that when we feed the new chick's they "have a go" at each other, some time's quite furiously, is that normal ?? it realy only happen's at feeding time. Can I assume it's the start of the "Pecking Order"........

Mine do that at times ,I'm sure it them developing their personalities. They are such fun ,and the longer you have chooks the more addicted you get . Enjoy your babies
