Hi All, Its been 6 days since we bought home 1 x rooster and 3 x ladies aged 13weeks, they are Australorps. They housed in the shed, the run is not finished, i opened the door for them yesterday (day5) and spread vege scraps outside, but they are not coming out! I tried again today, and 'shooed' them out but they went back into the shed after a few minutes. We have two dogs but these we on the chain during the time i left the door open to shed. Suggestions please! Thanks

Being in a new environment, they are just a bit insecure. Give them time. They will venture out of the shed into the outdoors.

Put the food outside in plain view.......they will be out as soon as they get hungry.
Good luck

they are still babies and timid in their new home, as chooky says it will take time for them to acclimatise. as long as they ahve plenty of food and water in their shed they will be fine, and befoer you know it they will going everywhere!
