Will any more hatch and how long do i let her sit? I think she's pooped in there. Please help these are our first babies. Thanks

take teh other eggs away, andd she should get up to look after the chicks.
if that does not work it will not hurt to lift her off the nest to shake her out of her trance a bit, she should stop sitting tight when you take the remaining eggs away though. remember that the chicks need to rest and that would also be one reason she is sitting tight.
you might need to lift her and hte chicks off to put them in a cardboard box to clean her nest depending on how soiled she has made it..........this will also disrupt the trance.when the nest is clean put them back, and she will probably be interested in food and water then.
good luck

Thanks Jacquie, I lifted her off the eggs gave her food and water and she had a quick stretch. She then re-set on the eggs as i was off to get some clean bedding. Does this mean she's not done yet? The bedding isn't too bad i got her poop out. She really docent want to stop is this mother nature saying wait? How late can they hatch?

I have just had one( gold laced Whyndotte) sit 4 days from the first hatch and she is only just moving around ,day 5 . All chicks just hung around mum and had a little to eat and drink . I put feed & a small waterer in, that mum and the chicks can reach untill mum is ready to move out .

i hope she is ok now, its so important to remove the unhatched eggs from her. how about candling them so that you can confidently remove the eggs from the hen. she will get m oving about shortly.
