Well, I set eggs in the incubator last week, they've been going for 5 days now. Yesterday, Western Power deciced to pop a letter in my letterbox informing me that they are replacing poles and I will be without power on Mon 9am-4pm and then again on Fri 9am-3pm Now, I've lost power before while the incubator is going, but not for that long and not for 2 seperate days that close together! I realise that I'm just gonna have to 'wait and see' if they hatch or not, but has anyone had a successful hatch if this has happened to them? I just wish WP had given me a bit more notice!! Then I could've waited before filling up the bator!! Hoping they'll still survive, maybe hatch a bit late?

If all else fails, you can keep the incubator warm by putting hot water bottles in the incubator. You will have to refresh the bottle with hot water every so often. Hopefully the interuption is only for a short while.

I did wrap the bator in a towel, but luckily the power was only out for about 3 hours! Phew! Hopefully the same will happen on Friday? Will candle the day after tomorrow anyway, and decide if I need to take them and plug the bator in somewhere else just in case! Thank you guys!
