your silkie cross sussex looks like it will look like a light sussex with a crest. the indian game have nice long legs and so will hopefully do the job you want them to do. the "brown one" is a jubilee markings i bet you can't wait for them to start working for you to make meat chooks.

Wow! They have some nice thick chunky legs on them! I thought you were after more breast meat? Or will they produce that if you cross them? I love the little silky cross! I think SHE will turn out just lovely!

HI ikbokchook Yep there thick in the leg they have to be to carry the weight the older one of the three is a large bird broad across the back and breast just solid they are only young birds yet and have a long way to go This cross is what they use in the poultry industry in the UK and send eggs all over the world we get them hatch them out and breed from there this is where the fast growth comes from the Sussex as you would know has a fast rate of growth and the Cornish has the meat on them if you Google Cornish / Indian game you will see a naked bird ready for the oven and its big this is what I am after The first bird I dressed was 2.8kg oven ready but a small amount of breast meat on it hope this will put that one to bed and I hope to have the first lot ready for Christmas if not before Trev
