OOOH So excited. The first lot of eggs I got from Sydney are hatching, I was suppose to have only got naked necks, but the lady didnt have the full amount of TNN so she put in 4 silkies and 2 Jap Bantams, I didnt tell hubby, guess what has hatched so far, thats right, a silkie, hubby now knows I got and extra breed and I got the lecture about him not building chook pens for the rest of life. But it is so cute, will post some photos when hopefully some more hatch and they are all out of the hatcher.

ooooh, I can't wait to see the pic. Just batter the eye lashes Judy and tell him he can't resist...lol If that doesnt work, try the quote my hubby uses "A happy wife is a happy life"

well so far another 2 have hatched, total of 3 silkies, not bad out of 4 silkie eggs but still no naked necks, and fluffychook love the quote your hubby uses will have to try that.

two of them are yellowy looking, so I presume they will end up white, and the other is a smoky grey/ brown sort of colour, so don't know what thats going to be

Yes, some have hatched, have taken some photos but havent had a look yet if they are any good, if they are will post them in new arrivals

These are some of the chickies that hatched from the eggs from Sydney managed to get this photo through the glass door of the incubator as one was starting to hatch these are the 3 silkies and these are TNNs The one on the far right in the last photo is a jap bantam (I think) not the greatest of photos but will have another go tomorrow

Family had them or what we called bare neck chickens many years ago. We all thought they were the ugliest things we had ever seen. Now how can any one say your chick is ugly, it is sooooo cute
