I needed the turkey this afrernoon .The guy who wanted to exchange the Roo chicks (the unsexed bunch )turned up today, lucky Ross ,Daughter Rachael and Grinch were here .Told him I had nothing I could give him and when you get unsexed chicks thats what they are and I wasnt taking the roosters back .Grinch said Yeah!!
Good on you, Anne! You guys probably scared the living hell out of this poor naive man, with Grinch as team leader! Maybe let him move in with you (I'm talking about Grinch ), then you can always leave your front door unlocked For the backyard you should still get the turkey, though!
Wendy, well done for trying, what a shame they don't pick up
Awww Annieyokie! I can't believe the guy turned up again! Good on you for telling him how it is! I made OH (after a couple of beers!) ring the turkey people again too! haha! Still no answer - OH sent them a nice polite re-homing text too (NO we are NOT gonna take the turkey - hehe!) no answer to that either.... Probably best to speculate........ ;D
More fun to speculate . Setting Grinch up to be Watch chook ,Only problem is he is knee high to a grasshopper .Might get one of those mirrors that make you bigger and project an image in the drive way (holographic would be good)
OR you could set up an oversize chook pen right next to your front door, attach a banner that says "Grinch" (like on a dog kennel) and place a HUGE feeder in front of it. All you need to do then is always wear T-shirts with his image and the name clearly visible printed onto it, so when you open the door the connection is more than obvious. Unfortunately the actual bird needs to be hidden away in the last corner of your yard to keep up the illusion. This will make him so angry that you can easily update his picture at any given time. Good luck
ha ha you guys are a crack up lol i like the re cut of the add and i bet it would go better like that too and as for grinch he is still cute in his own way ha ha !! i bet if the turkey thing was a gag they were shocked when the phone kept ringing ha ha ha
Suggested to Ross he could make a giant kennel .Didn't go down to well!about like when I say Iv been thinking about the chooks cage!!!or how much timbe r& iron have we got? LOL he has been reading this thread,Its entertained the whole family .
Yep - same here! Even the long suffering non-chookie OH has had a good giggle! He was sooooo disappointed when the turkey people didn't reply to his text! He was hoping they would be able to send him a pic of said turkey on his phone - in his own words 'that would be gold!' haha! ;D He's been sneakin off and reading this thread on his own too! Hehe!
oh, hi Ross!!! sorry to take your wife away most of the waking hours, but we're having way too much fun ;D Now that you know everything you can always blame us if Anne gets too pushy...
and Anne, I've got a similar problem, just in much smaller dimensions: I said the other day in the most gentle voice I can manage "how much fence posts do we have, dear?" and, boy, did I get the look...
oh, just read ikbokchook's post: Hi ikbokchook's husband! and thank you for trying, you'd be right, it would be gold and would earn you a "god" status on the forum straight away without even joining ;D
