;D THANK YOU SO MUCH, ANNE!! your chooks have done a marvelous job - either that or me talking on the phone while walking up and down the chook fence, mentioning chicken soup and roast chicken dinner has done the trick! Last night, when I tucked my little darlings in (see, I'm not THAT mean ) I found an egg!!! Looks like Ronja the clever girl has donated that one - again! Now she just needs to learn to keep them coming and train the other ones... BTW, Lily and Bonnie would make an excellent body guard (I might consider finding a job for them, anyway, if they don't lay eggs ), they are so big they would cover you no problem ;D

...slight correction, when Bonnie heard about her new career as a body guard she got quiet upset, claiming she was too much of a chicken to throw herself between anyone and a predator , so she made her way to the nest box and surprised us all with a beautiful cream colored egg ;D ;D ;D

;D ;D ;D Anne, that only proves what a clever boy Grinch is ;D ;D I hacked into his eggschange account: to no surprise, he did order some eggs - so you would lock him up with the girls 24/7 You just watch, there's bound to be a sudden increase in frizzle genes in your flock

Funny you should mention the turkey Trev ,I'm sure I saw his son on a recent trip to Toodyay so it was suggested that " fowl play" our biker chooks headed there 8-)on their bikes on a fact finding mission. Apparently Grinch ...him/her self wanted to join them and went off with them on a scooter (Grinch is not the biker type.) Anyway they got to Toodyay and it seems from what I hear they came across allot of people bikers !!!!! who were a little taken back with all these birds on bikes and it caused a bit of a commotion . I'm not sure Toodyay will ever be quite the same again .Apparently one of the Biker chooks thought a bald bearded people biker was the turkey in disguise and wanted to drag him back with them .... ? ???as you can imagine it didn't go down to well and feathers, leather ,stubbies etc etc were littering the streets as they flew off leaving bikes behind . Some arrived home in a awful state others just brushed it off and are planing another trip . Me thinks the terrifying experience may have been the trigger in Grinch's personality change eggexchange eggs !!Hmmmmmm Ill have to look at that ::)Pianochook seems one of your girls was trying out for "fowl play "but didn't like the leather jacket and wanted to wear red lace ..I can imagine who that was. One of the not so happy photos captured during the ordeal I think we needed Jacquie there with her camera to take some less biased photos.

The turkey arrived at our place last night .Apparently he was captured by some of the Royal show organizer's and he was going to be the live bird in the guess the "dressed weight "competition . Fortunately Fowl-play heard of his fate and saved him just in the nic of time .They all then performed to the show crowds on their bikes with flames shooting from the exhausts . 8-)I hear the were a raging success . I'm sure the photos are now on the walls of your chook pen pianochook. Questions were asked as to why the musical chook entourage was not performing this year at the show .I was heard to be said that the musical director has been absorbed in her own performances and had better get her act together or else ;D ;D I dont know what else is but I think some more bookings are in order

So pleased to hear of Lily's acceptance in the new series of Biggest Loser It explains why a large screen TV was installed in the main chook pen . My birds are really enthusiastic for her and have some great Ideas for exercise routines . My roos also have some other Ideas how to help her get a little more exercise . They have been checking out the other competitors and are thinking Hatty the cow is the biggest challenge . Apparently she has a secret weapon ---- ???a supply of Svelte ...a natural appetite suppressant and metabolism enhancer. Hatty
