While perusing the Quokka this morning a came across an ad that made me giggle.... TURKEY very old big bird, no feathers, angry $24 I don't know if this is for real, but it did make me giggle - poor old thing I hope someone takes pity on it and gives it a good home! ;D

thank you, ikbokchook! I needed a good giggle today!!! that is so funny, I can see this huge old ugly turkey attacking the potential buyer, chasing him- limping-around the yard, the last remaining feathers and the $24 flying everywhere - I reckon, the seller is gonna end up paying someone to take him/her away

go for it, Anne!! I wouldn't think there is queue to get the bird And who needs guinea fowl for snake control when you've got a turkey like that! For only $24 you'll have no snakes, no mice, probably even no chicken, and no customers whatsoever ;D

Hahaha! ;D They should get you guys to write their ad! Instead of 'old, bald, angry turkey' it should read 'experienced, guard turkey with a crew cut'! I'm sure they'd have people ringing the phone off the hook! But yeah - go on Annieyokie - adopt it!! I'll put up the $24! ;D

Anne, I'm sure Brendon could help out with the sign, just not so sure about replacing your husband , though Trevor, they've probably tried to catch him for years, trying to sell him! That's why he's old and bold by now...

oh, well, Anne, that settles it: you don't need the turkey, just blow up Grinche's photo and pin it on your gate, you'll feel like you live on a remote island - I'd be scared!!!! Carolyn, you take him! But maybe get some herbs and smelly oils of Anne to put him in a good mood every now and again, in case you need some "wanted" visitors to get past him ;D

Haha! Pianochook - why don't YOU take him! ;D Someone has got to get him now - I wanna see photos! (and I'm still willing to put up the $24 for the brave new owner - hehe! ) ;D Oh, and Annie - Grinch is just gorgeous! He looks a bit like those things off "The Dark Crystal" (my kids just watched it!)

...if I get the turkey I might as well get the divorce papers at the same time-let me think about it....maybe not right now, the kids are still small and need a better male role model than the old bird But if it's pics you're after, why don't we contact the owner and negotiate a contract for a photo shoot?!
