-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please place your guesses here. Guesses can be made right up until the hatch date or when chicks start to hatch whichever the soonest.
Number of Eggs: 36 Date Set: afternoon of 25th June Due Date: 16th July Breed: Silkie
Background of eggs set History 2 dozen Gerri Gregory eggs (Pom Pom Poultry), 1 dozen Perfect Poultry eggs. Both posted from Qld.
Hatch is monitored by Fluffy Chook
Please state what date you think they will hatch
If more than 1 person guesses the correct number of chicks hatched , then the hatch dates are considered. If the correct number and dates are not guessed, it will then go to the closest guess in the same sequence.
Good luck everybody

I woke up this morning to several pipping, good luck with your guesses. This just goes to show that even with a power outage of over 4 hours in the first seven days you can still get a hatch going. I candled when I took them off the auto turner and the results looked very promising. It will be interesting to see how things pan out.

5 have hatched, a dark blue, silver, light silver? and possibly 2 buffish coloured ones. Very hard to tell their true colours until they fluff up. Took all day for them to hatch. There are several more pipping still, not sure how many as all the eggs have been shuffled around with the chicks moving in the incubator.

16 have now hatched, some did not make it. I checked what happened and 1 was just too big and never managed to turn, it was a big egg too. The other 2 looked like they drowned which seems strange as the humidity was within the correct parameters. Still a few to hatch, they have pipped so it should not be too much longer. No buffs at all so far, some dark blue, silver, white, partridge and not quite sures...lol
