Have candled the eggs a little while ago and definately no more action so the final count is 19 chicks. That makes Carolyn the winner I think? 4 of the Pekin chickies were born with spraddle legs so they'll be in ICU for a couple of days with their hobbles on. I'll try to take some piccies for you guys tomorrow And.... I also candled my gregory Silkie eggs earlier and 11 out of the 12 are alive and well, wriggling around in their eggs. So now I'm getting quite excited! Bring on Friday!!!

Lol Tina, maybe its time for a 2nd bator I'm dying to try out my new bator. I was planning to have the gregory eggs in the new bator but the cord I was waiting for hadnt arrived so they had to go into the old one. I think I'm gunna have to buy some more eggs to try out the new bator with. Boy am I gunna have my hands full! lol. I've already got some 3wk olds down in the brooders, so with those and these latest ones plus the gregory chicks, I will have 3 brooders on the go!

Yup, I got 1. Got quite an array of colours from that batch. Unfortunately not the best quality though, leg/foot feathering wise but I'm gunna hang on to a few of the nicest colours and see how they mature. And as usual, the nice colours are mainly cockerels but with the amount of roos I've got, whats a few more? lol I'm gunna sort out which ones I'm keeping on the weekend, so will try to get some piccies to show ya

lol Im so pleased you got 1 cukoo. Was it a girl or boy? I know what you mean about the quality. When I compare to my new blacks and whites, no comparison really. But I am looking forward to seeing what comes from mating the ones I have to my newbies. Should get a few nice chicks. Im looking froward also to seeing what this new lot that just hatched turn out like. Colours are looking pretty speccy even though theyre only just getting their feathers.
