Sorry had a busy day yesterday...Well I only had 2 arrivals. 1 x silkie x and 1 x Gold LAced Wyandotte (which I had to help out) Not sure if the end result was due to the eggs being older (ie over 2 weeks) or because we had a power outage in the 1st week. The power was off for about 2 hours before the OH got the generater up and running. so I wouldn't have thought that would have had that much effect. The speckled sussex and 1 other GLW developed but failed to hatch boo hoo. (could even hear them tapping but they never managed to even break through the shell. All the rest including the pekin did not develop after the 1st week. The little Silkie cross is going great guns and was happy to finaly get a little freind this morning.
I guess Steph is the winner of this one with a guess of 7 unless I have missed anyone with a lower guess.....
I will post some pics tonight.

Thats a shame, especially the speckled being so close, hoping you would get a better result.

Thanks Judy....I am very sad about the Speckled Sussex...I thought I would get a better result but was not expecting too much. I put it down to a combination of fertility rates being down due to lateness of season, the power outage and the age of the eggs. I think I will also be giving my incubater an overhaul and get some new thermometers...as my last couple of hatches have been no where near as good as normal. I used to get nearly 100% Mind you my last few attempts have been with posted eggs so I will run another test batch with some of my own eggs again in a few weeks and see how I go
