yep agree with that I would love to fill the place up with rear breeds I have the room to do it but not the strength this place keeps us flat out every day anyway we did create a monster

I got a couple of extra ducks given to me over the weekend that how it happens she did not want them any longer and did not want them to be put down so old softy got them anyway I love duck eggs for brekkie most days at the moment I do not have a duck that knows how to sit on eggs the new lot should show them

Step one...make SURE you've got the right bee suit/smoker/tools/empty box/patience/like being stung & have plenty of spare time!... apart from that, it's easy.... it was just one of the things I had on my bucket list... so about 5 years back, I got my first swarm/hive & it grew from there... Do you get stung a lot? I have seen people doing bee work with just the hat and mask on. I have been wanting to learn to keep bees for a while now.

agree I find it interesting we have loads of wild bees around this place but you can never find out where the honey is

Chooky... got stung last night, when moving a hive!... but only because I didn't have gloves on.... my fault... but enjoy the hobby... & sell excess honey... & their is none better...it's beautiful stuff.. can't keep up with demand... but also give a lot away... because I can...:-) :-)

Never had a problem with bee stings until about 15 years ago when I was stung on the back of the hand. Within a few hours my hand looked like the mitchelin mans. Now I always keep some polaramine handy also good for paper wasps.
