Yup, final count was 19 Silkie & 19 Frizzled Pekin so it looks like Rap is the winner

Nah, I dont think so Rap. I did candle the last few eggs (6-8) that looked viable on the morning of the outage and there was no movement or sound so I decided not to bother keeping the bator warm for them when they didnt look like they would hatch anyways. I didnt expect a great hatch rate because of the time of year, fertility isnt as good at the moment. But I was encouraged by the result with the Frizzled Pekins, as last year the fertility was very low. The roo is a lil lazy in that department But I've since added his son Fergus to the flock and he seems to be doing his job. So in spring when fertility with be higher, I expect a pretty good hatch from that pen.
